Calendar File Form: Roger Bell_West has set up a site which converts this page to standard calendar file format, and updates that file periodically. See http://firedrake.org/infobot/ics/conventions.ics for this. Or - I'm told that by using webcal://firedrake.org/infobot/ics/conventions.ics instead, you should be able to "subscribe" to this calendar. Note that I haven't looked at this since this page changed URL.
If you want your convention listed here, e-mail me with a date, URL, and any information that you want mentioned here, up to a couple of short paragraphs' worth.
31st January-1st February: To Boldly Game, at The National Space Centre, Exploration Drive, Leicester, LE4 5NS. To quote, "Step into a universe of imagination as the National Space Centre transforms into a haven for tabletop gamers, families, and curious minds. To Boldly Game celebrates all things board gaming and roleplaying - with a cosmic twist! Discover new space-themed and STEM-inspired games, take part in epic RPG sessions, and challenge friends (or make new ones) in tournaments and open play zones." Cost is basically that of a ticket to the Centre; £20-£22 per day. See https://www.spacecentre.co.uk/whats-on/to-boldly-game/ for more information and booking options.
14th-15th February: Tabletop Gaming Live 2026, at Doncaster Racecourse, South Yorkshire. A general gaming convention, described as "a weekend of open gaming, family-friendly activities, game previews and more", but I assume that there'll be some kind of RPG presence, or at least trade stands with RPGs on sale. Adult membership is £13 a day or £20 for the weekend, with lower rates for young adults and free admission for uner-10s. See https://www.tabletopgaming.co.uk/information/tabletop-gaming-live-2026 for details, or go to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/tabletop-gaming-live-tickets-1544075795269 to buy tickets.
7th March: Concrete Cow 26, at The Old Bath House, Wolverton, Milton Keynes. Only the initial announcement so far, but this twice-yearly RPG convention has been running reliably for a while. Watch https://www.concrete-cow.org.uk/ for further developments.
11th-12th April: Conpulsion 2026, at The Pleasance, 60 Pleasance, Edinburgh, EH8 9TJ. A long-running RPG convention run by GEAS, the University of Edinburgh Roleplaying Society, with lots of scheduled games, LARPs, traders, and guests. One and two day and family tickets are available. See https://conpulsion.org/ for details and booking options.
29th-31st May: UK Games Expo 2026, at (I assume) The NEC (Halls 1,2, & 3) and the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Birmingham. Britain's biggest general games convention, with lots of RPG sessions (mostly run in the Hilton) among other features. Prices depends on ages, number of days, etc., and aside from the Hilton, there are several convenient hotels for accommodation (though those fill up quite fast). Just an initial announcement so far, but watch the Web site at https://www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk/ for further developments.
24th-27th July: Continuum 2026, at The Cranfield Management and Development Centre. Another long-running RPG event for which we only have the initial announcement as yet ("Tickets will go on sale early 2026"). The Web site to watch is at https://continuumconvention.co.uk/.
29th-30th August: ShadowCon XX 2026, at Northfields Community Centre, Northfields, London, W13 9SS. For details, watch http://www.shadowwarriors.co.uk/; to sign up in due course, try https://warhorn.net/events/shadowcon-uk-2026.
